Game Review: Wii Fit (Wii)

You can't talk about the Wii without mentioning this revolutionary game. Is it a game? Is it a nifty piece of hardware? Well with 20 million people worldwide owning this, there certainly is a lot to like. Wii Fit comes with the Wii Balance Board (which can also be used for other games). Nintendo's aim appears to be combining fun with fitness using a variety of different game modes. Yoga. Balance Games. Strength Training. Aerobics.
Pfffft how hard can a game be? I bet you are thinking. Well, anyone that doubts the validity of this as an exercise tool I dare you to attempt the “Push-up and side plank” exercise. Painful and sweaty are two words that come to mind. I did achieve “Muscle Legend” however. Perfectly accurate...what?

My only complaint about this game is that an awful lot of mini games are locked from the start. I'm all for being able to unlock stuff as you progress through the game. But to start off with, I found that it had very little variety and choice and would've liked a bit more to choose from. I could easily see people getting bored very quickly.

Anyway, for fun or for fitness. Family or just for yourself, this is a definite hit.

9/10
