Game Review: Professor Layton and the Curious Village (Nintendo DS)

With more than 135 tricky puzzles to contend with, this game will certainly keep you going. Whether it be a quick few minutes on the bus, or a good 20 minutes on the loo, skiving from work, this is your game.

While puzzles can leave you wanting to spear the screen with the stylus, once you've cracked it the relief that washes over your body and rinses the frustration away is worth the previous mental anguish you've had to endure. There are a lot of brain games at the minute. This one has the definite edge due to the integrated story and the puzzle solving over the monotonous brain exercises.

If you do not own a DS at the minute you could do much worse than buy the DS Lite and Professor Layton bundle currently being sold by Nintendo.

9/10
