Orlando's Greatest Hits Part 1

The kind folk at C.A.L.M. HQ have kindly allowed me to review my recent holiday to Orlando, Florida. Okay, I might have pestered them a teeny tiny bit. There is a lot to discuss so I’m doing it in a few instalments. So shall we get the ball rolling with a positive review?

What is Orlando's best ride? Well, I'm no wimp. I'll try any ride once. I love rollercoasters but bizarrely for me my favourite was not one. The award goes to The Twilight Zone's Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It's an inventive and exciting as a rollercoaster without the speed and the loops.

Your setting is a 1930's Hollywood hotel. A lightening strike on October 31st transported an elevator carriage of people to The Twilight Zone. With a scorched exterior to the building you must travel in the service elevator. Throughout the queuing process the story unfolds in front of you. With an eerie atmosphere and creepy setting the ride gets your senses tingling.

You travel through a few floors of freaky imagery - all child friendly I might add - and make it to your final destination, the elevator shaft. Everything goes dark. Then there is a lightening strike! Hold on tight, WHAM! I won't ruin what happens next but be prepared for screams from your co-riders and an abundance of adrenaline to be pumping around your body.

It's an exciting and unique ride that should not be missed.
