This is the worst Christmas for games that I can remember in a long time. Not including the yearly franchises – your FIFAs and Pro Evos – it has been pretty poor. Just look at the current Multiplatform Top 10:
COD Modern Warfare 2
FIFA 10
Assassin’s (lol ass twice) Creed 2
New Super Mario Brothers Wii
Wii Sports Resort
Wii Fit Plus
Mario and Sonic Winter Games
Lego Indy 2 (crap)
Forza Motorsport 3
Mario Kart Wii
How dull is that list over all? Take away one or two games and it’s as unimpressive as a Christmas cracker prize. So what do I suggest? Save your money. Wait for the New Year sales and pick up some bargains. FM 2010 will be cheaper. Batman: Arkham Asylum should be below the £20 mark. Plus there are some cracking games due out in the New Year. Just click on the game name for some tasty trailers.
